Digicel Gives $130k Worth of Free Data to People Living with Disabilities
Digicel Nauru is proud to announce a significant donation of free data worth $130,000 over the course of one year. This is the fourth successive year for this partnership and this generous contribution is aimed at supporting People Living with Disabilities (PLD), benefiting over 130 people in Nauru.
The donation will provide beneficiaries with 10GB of free data every month, enabling them to stay connected, access essential online resources, and engage in digital activities. Digicel Nauru CEO, Christopher Manaog presented the donation to the coordinator of the PLD Department, Reanna Adam.
Manaog said that this ongoing donation underscores the company’s commitment to community well-being. “At Digicel Nauru, we believe in inclusivity, equality and the importance of giving back to our community. This donation is a testament to our dedication to improving the quality of life for all Nauruans, aligning perfectly with our core values, especially in the realm of health.”
The significant contribution to the community coincides with Digicel Nauru’s 14th Anniversary celebration and its ‘You Are Our #1’ brand campaign. It serves as a tangible demonstration of the company’s commitment to supporting Nauru’s most vulnerable population and promoting digital engagement.
By offering free data to those who need it most, Digicel Nauru aims to bridge the digital divide, empower individuals with disabilities and foster a sense of belonging in the digital age. This initiative reinforces Digicel Nauru’s position as a responsible corporate citizen, dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of its customers and the broader community.
As Digicel Nauru continues to champion inclusivity and equality, the company invites its customers and the people of Nauru to join in celebrating this milestone and to stand in support of the values that matter most.
