Digicel Vanuatu donates 1 million Vatu to Red Cross Society for earthquake relief efforts

Port Vila, Vanuatu – Friday, 28th March 2025

Digicel Vanuatu has donated 1 million Vatu to the Red Cross Society to support the community following the devastating earthquake in December 2024.

The earthquake has left numerous communities needing assistance, including access to emergency relief, shelter and vital supplies. Digicel Vanuatu after recognising the immediate and long-term recovery needs of the affected populations stepped forward to provide support through the Red Cross.

Digicel Vanuatu CEO, Gary Sue-Fong, commented; “We believe in standing with the people, for the people, not just as a telecommunications provider but as a committed partner in rebuilding communities. This donation is a testament to our belief in solidarity, resilience and meaningful action in times of crisis. We are deeply committed to supporting the Red Cross Society in their vital aid work.”
